Duel of fate: SC Urbach meets TSV Rudersberg in the cellar thriller!

SC Urbach and TSV Rudersberg are currently stuck in the bottom of the table in the district football league. Both teams have only managed five points so far and are therefore under pressure, especially with their upcoming game on Sunday at 3pm, which is considered an important 'six-point game'. This duel could be crucial for the rest of the season, as both teams need to collect points to get out of the relegation zone.

SC Urbach is playing in its first district league season in 20 years after the club, founded in 1988 from the sports clubs 1. FC-TV Urbach and TSV Urbach, was promoted in the previous season. While the start of the season was promising, the team has recently experienced a dry spell. In contrast, TSV Rudersberg has higher demands on the season and could increase the pressure on SC Urbach.

Diverse club offerings

SC Urbach not only offers football, but also a variety of sports options for children and adults. The sports facilities include the Wittum sports area with grass and artificial turf pitches, the Wittumhalle, the atrium hall and the forest sports field. While the football department is the club's largest, active men's teams are also represented in District League A, with the first team playing in District League V in the 2025/26 season.

The club is particularly active in the youth sector: there are 17 teams, ranging from the Bambini to the A-Juniors. Three junior teams are also planned for the future. The Old Men (AH) also keep the tradition alive by meeting regularly to play football. A dedicated group of referees ensures that the games run smoothly and according to the rules. Around 60 volunteer trainers, supervisors and supporters are active in the club and are happy to welcome anyone who would like to stop by the training.
