In a sensational action that makes every adventurer's heart beat faster, he sent CVJM Welzheim almost 100 children on an unforgettable journey back in time to the Middle Ages! Yes, you read that right – almost 100 brave young explorers ventured into the world of knights and damsels and experienced a camp full of action and adventure in Linkenheim near Karlsruhe!
This epochal camp took place from August 1st to 9th, 2025 and offered participants a breathtaking program that pushed the boundaries of imagination. In the midst of nature and adventure, countless successful activities awaited the children, led by 19 passionate supervisors who were at best anchored in the compassionate passion of the young participants.
An unforgettable camp experience
Pure action in two weeks! 43 brave boys aged 8 to 14 were able to experience the first part of this spectacular adventure. What awaited them was an almost endless spectrum of exciting activities: from fast-paced terrain games and creative crafts to communal singing and biblical journeys of discovery. This was no ordinary camp - this was the Middle Ages at its purest!
How the camp area in Linkenheim was transformed for the boys: Pretty house tents offered the perfect retreat after exciting adventures. And not only that – horses, jousting games and perhaps even a medieval feast awaited the children. The facilities were modern, so you could enjoy the benefits of a kitchen, sanitary facilities and a large group room - all surrounded by idyllic nature! But the real adventures took place outside!
The girl part – action guaranteed!
And that's not all: the tent camp was a true paradise not only for boys, but also for girls! How CVJM Welzheim reports, the girls also saw their chance for fun, action and adventure in Linkenheim. Breathtaking offerings such as a hard court with basketball hoops, a table tennis table and even a beach volleyball court awaited the brave explorers!
The girls had the opportunity to share unforgettable experiences with their like-minded friends. Depending on their interests, they found exactly what they were looking for here: creative activities, sporting challenges, as well as spiritual discoveries in the form of biblical themes that were intended to enliven everyday camp life.
An initiative for everyone!
What makes this camp even more outstanding is the charity! The CVJM Walddorfhäslach will organize such camps in the future to ensure that no child is excluded, regardless of their families' financial abilities. Grants are available, meaning anyone looking for an adventure has the chance to be part of these incredible experiences!
