On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, a reckless act of vandalism occurred in Auenwald-Däfern. Unknown perpetrators entered a garden property on Weinbergstrasse between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and damaged several items. What was particularly noticeable was the damage caused to the owner's walnut tree, whose condition is now worrying. Garden chairs, a fire barrel and a lawn mower were also affected, resulting in an estimated total damage of around 300 euros.
