Ulrich Ferber, Andrea Berg's husband, testified as a witness in the trial against Nala. But the proceedings came to an abrupt end when Nala committed suicide in prison, shortly before the court could reach a verdict. Her suicide happened on Andrea Berg and Ulrich Ferber's wedding day, which only adds to the tragedy of the situation.
