Mourning for Karl-Heinz Müller: Fishing club loses its legend
Karl-Heinz Müller died on June 1, 2025 at the age of 77. The long-time chairman of the Vordersteinenberg e.V. fishing club from Alfdorf-Höldis leaves a significant gap in the community. Müller led the club for 31 years, from 1988 to 2019, and had a significant influence on its development and activities. Despite his withdrawal from active management of the club, he continued to support the board with advice and support. His friendly nature and positive charisma are fondly remembered by the club members, and their thoughts go out to his wife and his son and family.
The annual fishing festival that was celebrated at Lake Hüttenbühl just three days before his death is particularly remembered. He was also significantly involved in the annual helper festival at the fishing hut. For his services, Karl-Heinz Müller was made an honorary member and honorary chairman of the fishing club in 2019 and received the Golden Medal of Honor from the Baden-Württemberg State Fishing Association. Paul-Gerhard Maier, a board member, expressed the gratitude of the entire association and emphasized that Müller leaves a big gap.
Club and community
For Müller, the Vordersteinenberg fishing club was not only a place for fishing, but also a culinary and social center. His commitment to intact club life and the camaraderie that he lived had a lasting impact on the community. Board member Michael Wiedmann highlighted Müller's achievements and thanked him on behalf of the entire association.
Müller's remarkable career and his successful career in various clubs are also a reminder of his contribution to small animal breeding in the region. He worked as a rabbit breeder at the H 107 Stangenrod small animal breeding club. He left his mark there too and reported to the annual general meeting with reports on the breeders' progress and successes. In 2019, a local show took place, which was organized for the first time together with the H 34 Groß-Eichen, where Müller recorded significant success in the breeding sector. Under his supervision, the club took part in regional and national shows, which is an honor for the breeders and the community.
Karl-Heinz Müller's achievements extend from fishing and small animal breeding to the many personal relationships he has built up over the years. Cohesion in both clubs was always important to him, and he leaves behind not only a great loss, but also a strong legacy in his community. His fellow members are already planning future events to honor his memory and carry on the traditions he so passionately fought for.
