SENSATION in Lorch: Mega spectators at the second dräff – The sausage crisis!
On July 12, 2025, absolute event fever broke out in Lorch! The second “dräff” on Oriaplatz exceeded all expectations and attracted such a gigantic audience that the new benches and tables were not enough to handle the crowds. The support association of the Schäfersfeldschule, organizer of this spectacle, can look forward to a perceived doubling of the number of visitors. Yes, you heard that right! People flocked to the event as if it were the biggest highlight of the year!
The sales figures are simply breathtaking! A whopping 300 red sausages and an incredible 45 kilos of fries were consumed. Can it get any better? Impossible! Mayor Marita Funk was enthusiastic and praised the additional food container that was provided to satisfy the visitors' almost superhuman hunger. A direct hit in every respect!
A feast for the senses!
The famous Guggen troupe “Kloster Bätscher” was at the start again – and the audience was grateful for every performance! The exuberant atmosphere, the laughter of children and the smell of fresh food floated through the air as visitors crowded around the new seating. Sabine Wolfmaier reported an incredible 150 grilled sausages and 190 portions of fries, which were quickly sold out after they were prepared. Shocking but true!
But that wasn't all! There will be a big meeting in the fall to discuss planned improvements to make the next edition even more spectacular. Who would have thought that so much flair and joy were possible in little Lorch? The next date has already been set - on Wednesday, July 16th, we continue with delicious tarte flambée from 6 p.m. Hold on tight because this will be another unforgettable experience!
