Ostalb-Giro 2025: 1750 cyclists conquer the route and celebrate together!
The first Ostalb Giro took place on June 1, 2025, attracting more than 1,750 cycling fans to the region. The event, which highlighted both sporting passion and community spirit, was hosted by Dr. Joachim Bläse, the event's patron, was ceremoniously opened. Cyclists of different age groups took part in the varied routes and experienced a celebration of generations.
One of the special attractions was the only mountain classification of the day, which took place on the climb to Neubronn. The participants also got their money's worth in Rindelbach, where they took a well-deserved rest and were able to enjoy the local Maultaschen. The German Red Cross, supported by the DRK Motorcycle Squadron from Ludwigsburg, provided medical care to guarantee the safety of the cyclists.
Art and commitment combined
The Ostalb Giro was part of a larger initiative that brings together art and social commitment. The art exhibition FahrAArt also took place in Aalen in this context. This runs from May 19th to June 14th, 2025 and shows works by over 30 artists. The exhibition locations are retail stores and restaurants in Aalen, where many works of art are inspired by bicycle motifs. The proceeds from the sale of the works of art benefit the social project “Traffic School”, which promotes the safety of children in road traffic. The aim is to provide new bicycles for traffic education for primary school children.
Anyone who wants to support the campaign has the opportunity to purchase artwork or share the event on social media. Further information is on the website www.fahraart.de available. This combination of sport, art and social responsibility makes it possible to make a strong statement for the community.
Organizational highlights
The Ostalb Giro was actively organized by initiator Stefan Brucker, who was active in all aspects of the event. The special jerseys worn by members of the Aalen fire department were particularly noticeable. The Adelmannsfelden Motorcycle Club supported the event along the routes and thus contributed to safety and the smooth running.
Overall, the Ostalb Giro not only appealed to the participants' sporting ambitions, but also promoted solidarity within the community and commitment to important projects. The great response already gives hope for a continuation next year.
