Shooting drama in Tamm: Suspects from the Netherlands caught!

On May 12, a 23-year-old man was seriously injured during a violent incident in Tamm, in the Ludwigsburg district. The man suffered serious injuries from gunshots, which resulted in his lower leg being amputated. After several weeks in the hospital, he was finally released. The police report that the man works in the security industry and suspects that there may have been arguments in this area that triggered the crime. Residents provided first aid until emergency services arrived.

The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects aged 26 and 27, both Dutch citizens. They were arrested on October 1st in the Dutch provinces of Limburg and Utrecht. The arrests were made in close cooperation with Europol, the Federal Criminal Police Office and the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office. During the arrest, the suspects' homes were also searched and evidence was seized. This information is confirmed by SWR.

Investigations and possible backgrounds

The two suspects are being investigated for attempted murder. After the crime, they fled in a black small car with a foreign license plate. There is currently little information about possible motives and background to the crime. However, police are investigating whether there is a connection to other incidents in the region, including shootings in Ludwigsburg's Oststadt at the end of April and a car fire in Bietigheim-Bissingen at the beginning of May.

Further investigations reveal that shots were fired at two men in Ludwigsburg on April 26th without causing any injuries. The perpetrators fled undetected at the time. There was also a car fire on May 4th, which caused damage of around 18,000 euros. In contrast, there is currently no concrete evidence that these incidents are directly related to the crime in Tamm, as Die Zeit reports.

The two arrested suspects are now in custody. The investigation is ongoing in close cooperation with the Dutch authorities to clarify further details and identify possible additional people involved. The exact circumstances of the crime and the evidence collected are expected to be further investigated in the coming weeks.
