From August 4, 2025, Marktstrasse in Steinheim will be completely closed for probably six to eight weeks. This affects the section between Ludwigsburger Straße and Lammgasse and is necessary in order to carry out extensive civil engineering work to modernize the sewer system. Detours and traffic disruptions
Traffic diversions will be as follows:
- Aus Richtung Erdmannhausen: ab dem Kreisverkehr über Rielingshausen – Forsthof – Kleinbottwar – Steinheim.
- Aus Richtung Murr: über Großbottwar – Rielingshausen.
Some side streets will be designated as one-way streets during construction to help direct traffic. Furthermore, some parking spaces will be lost during the closure, particularly in the Murrinsel car park, where half of the space will be reserved for short-term parking.
