The aim of this initiative is to revitalize the newly designed square and create low-threshold leisure opportunities for the population.
Borrowing takes place daily between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the “Café Kleiner Prinz” gastro pavilion. An official ID card is sufficient as a deposit. The pickleball set, which can be rented, includes a net, floor markers and rackets and is suitable for everyone thanks to its simple setup. The sport, a mix of tennis, badminton and table tennis, features slow balls and is ideal for players in the eastern part of Arsenal Square, near the monument.
Rental details
There are a total of two table tennis sets available, each equipped with four bats and balls. The two permanently installed table tennis tables allow users to test their skills directly on the court. The Ludwigsburg portal adds that the city administration plans to expand the offering to include additional sports and play equipment in order to create even more attractive leisure opportunities.
The city's initiative concept is aimed particularly at people who want to become active without having to overcome major social hurdles. The offer could also serve the goal of getting more people active and establishing a new meeting place in the heart of Ludwigsburg.
In summary, Arsenalplatz has now become a place where both young and old can discover the joy of exercise. The new offering not only revitalizes the square, but also establishes it as a sporting meeting place in the city.
