Ulm secures Bundesliga talent: Len Schoormann changes!

The Bundesliga basketball team ratiopharm Ulm has a prominent new signing: Len Schoormann is moving from Oldenburg to Ulm and signing a two-year contract. The 23-year-old guard not only brings Bundesliga experience, but also the necessary talent to be successful in one of the league's leading teams. Ulm, runner-up last season, hopes to gain further reinforcements for the coming challenge in Schoormann.

Schoormann began his career in the top German league with the Frankfurt Skyliners in 2019 and has since played a total of 161 games. Last season he showed impressive performances, scoring an average of 11.4 points per game and was the sixth best German scorer in the main round. Thorsten Leibenath, sports director at ratiopharm Ulm, not only emphasizes Schoormann's sporting quality, but also sees great development potential in the young player. He believes that Ulm offers him the opportunity to develop further in a top team, especially through participation in the Eurocup, which was an important argument for Schoormann for the move.

A talent with a lot of experience

Len Schoormann brings a wide range of experience to the ranks of the Ulm team. His sporting career also includes appearances in the German youth national team, for which he played at the age of 14. In later years he was also an integral part of the U16, U18 and U20 teams as well as the senior national team. This underlines his potential and his skills, which he now wants to bring to the Ulm basketball community.

Schoormann's signing follows the new additions made by ratiopharm Ulm in recent months, including Christian Sengfelder from Dijon. Young talent and experience should be combined in a balanced team in order to further increase the club's ambitions.

After a successful start to his career with the hope of continued progress, Len Schoormann's move to ratiopharm Ulm is a promising step for both sides. It remains to be seen how this talented guard will perform on his new team.
