On June 29, 2025, a remarkable incident occurred in Markgröningen, a tranquil location in the district of Ludwigsburg: two horses ran through the old town with a stray carriage. The situation got out of hand at around 12:30 p.m. when the animals ran through the streets in a panicked escape.
The horses jumped on an oncoming car, a Mercedes, whose driver was also 35 years old. In this collision there was another incident when the carriage pushed against the exterior mirror of a parked Ford. Both horses were slightly injured in this event, while the coachin had to be brought to the hospital with minor injuries.
