Career choice of the future: Discover technologies in the Truck DISCOVER INDUSTRY!

The COACHING4FUTURE educational program in Baden-Württemberg presents an exciting opportunity for young people to find out about career choices and gain practical experience. How Press box reports, the DISCOVER INDUSTRY truck will stop in Besigheim from June 23rd to 25th. Registered school classes, including the Christoph-Schrempf-Gymnasium, can take part in an interactive, hands-on exhibition.

This mobile exhibition presents technologies such as 3D scanning, robotics and artificial intelligence. Students have the opportunity to become active in various MINT careers (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology) and gain valuable insights into the product development process. Two coaches are available to give valuable tips on career planning and show students how they can work on future tasks using digital technologies.

Interactive learning opportunities

The exhibition offers guided tours and experimental workshops in which students can, for example, create a digital prototype with a 3D scanner, work with a digital microscope or program an industrial robot. Other activities include using augmented reality to maintain a chainsaw and creating a smartphone app. The bionics workshop is particularly challenging, in which students construct a robot arm that can be controlled via smartphone.

The DISCOVER INDUSTRY program is free of charge for students from the 7th grade at high schools and secondary schools in Baden-Württemberg. School classes have the opportunity to request the truck for a two to three day visit in order to take part in the two-hour journey of discovery into the product development process of various industries.

Support for teachers and parents

In addition to the offers for students, COACHING4FUTURE also supports teachers in MINT career orientation. How on coaching4future.de can be read, the teachers' workshop includes a tour through the world of experience in the space of technologies as well as the presentation of other programs that enrich the COACHING4FUTURE offering.

Another important component of the program are parents' evenings, which are intended to involve parents as multipliers in the career choice process. These evenings shed light on important future topics from the offerings of COACHING4FUTURE, the prospects of MINT training and educational paths after school. Parents' evenings can be held on request and last around 60 minutes.

With such comprehensive offerings, the program aims to promote the MINT skills and professional orientation of young people in Baden-Württemberg and to optimally prepare them for the working world of the future.
