On Saturday, Baden-Württemberg experienced severe storms that caused the fire department to report over 100 missions. How SWR Reportedly, there were numerous minor damages and accidents, but no injuries were reported.
A lightning strike that damaged the electrical system in Ulm Minster was particularly serious. As a result, the tower lighting was turned down. The damage will be assessed next Monday, while the German Weather Service warns of further thunderstorms and heavy rain.

The risk of thunderstorms remains until Monday evening. The weather forecast shows temperatures between 23 degrees in the Black Forest and up to 29 degrees in Breisgau. Weather-related operations are to be expected, particularly in the north of Baden-Württemberg. Cities such as Mannheim, Heidelberg and the Rhein-Neckar district are at the center of activities. One example is a 29-year-old truck driver who left the road in Leimen, causing property damage worth around 35,000 euros.
The storms also resulted in fallen trees and damage to scaffolding being recorded between Bad Rappenau and Eppingen. In Marbach am Neckar a large tree fell onto the road, fortunately there were no injuries.

In the Ostalb district and in Pforzheim, the fire brigade had to be called out because of uprooted trees and damaged roofs. In addition, a planned concert by the Bundeswehr Big Band with Max Mutzke in Ulm was canceled due to bad weather conditions.
