Every year, numerous small participants flock in traditional costume through the city towards Au. The celebrations are warm and offer a hustle and bustle for young and old. The children's festival, which took place as part of the 75th Folk Festival, was followed by many visitors who were looking forward to the festive activities.The "Wiener Zuckerl" candy, where the crowd was great, was particularly popular. 75 years Freyung folk festival
This year's Volksfest in Freyung took place from June 27 to July 1, 2025 and celebrated its 75th anniversary. The program was varied and offered entertainment, music, rides and other highlights. Already on the first day of the festival, Friday, June 27th, there were numerous events, including a stand concert at the town square with the Hinterschmiding music band and the traditional "folk festival".
In the marquee, visitors were able to enjoy the music of the original Perlesreuter Blemusi, while Sunday offered family days that came up with lunch and other entertaining activities. A special highlight was the children's festival, which took place on Tuesday, July 1st and had a prison for all participating children.

The marquee was a central point of the celebrations, equipped with a large beer garden area and a selection of attractions, including a new wheat beer hing. Daily changing music groups ensured an inviting atmosphere. For the youngest visitors, there was reduced prizes during the "Child and Family Day", which made the event a popular destination for families.
In addition, a spectacular brilliant fireworks were planned for the 75th anniversary, which was to crown the festivities. Free senior buses and a folk festival bus were also organized to facilitate the journey.
