Lots of fun: the fair at Klempenow Castle is starting soon!

Klempenow Castle, a cultural attraction in the region, is preparing for an exciting series of events. On Thursday, June 19, 2025, the fair opens with a special highlight: a traveling cinema in the open air. At 8:30 p.m. the black-and-white silent film “The Last Man” (1924) by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau will be shown, accompanied by live music by singer-songwriter Bob Beeman. This opening marks a festive start to the upcoming festivities that will take place as part of the 31st edition of the fair on Saturday, June 21st at 10 a.m. on the castle lawn. Nordkurier reports on a variety of activities that are offered to citizens and visitors.

At the fair, artisans will present their wares from their own workshops. These include products made from felt, leather, clay, wood, fabric and glass. Regional garden centers will also be represented and present their offerings. What is particularly pleasing is that there will be numerous hands-on activities for children, which will offer little guests lots of fun and entertainment.
A significant contribution to the cultural event will be made by the Evangelical Peace Library Berlin, which will show an exhibition as a sign against war.

Cultural experience for all ages

The fair offers a comprehensive cultural program with performances by artists from various musical genres. The highlights include Nils Wollschläger with “minimal circus” and the band Angela Ordu & Free Spiritz, who delight with the sounds of Afrobeat, reggae and blues. The Jazz Alligators will also provide musical diversity by playing from funk to free jazz. At the end of the day there will be a Midsummer party from 7 p.m., which will be accompanied by the Toolbox Quartet with African-American music from the 1920s and 1930s.

In order to support the cultural location Burg Klempenow, a solidarity-based entrance fee is charged, which visitors can set at their own discretion. More information about the events and the fair can be found on the official website of Klempenow Castle, which offers a comprehensive overview of the planned activities Burg Klempenow.

The fair promises not only an experience for the eyes, but also for the ears and the palate. Visitors can look forward to fine food and drinks while enjoying northern crafts and diverse music from around the world. The event is a melting pot of cultural diversity and ensures that young and old alike get their money's worth.

Overall, the Klempenow Castle Fair will be a highlight for the region and is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local art, culture and community.
