Last construction stage on B 10: full closure between Eislingen and Süßen!
The dismantling of the old B 10 (L 1214) between Eislingen and Süßen is progressing. Construction work has been underway since March 4, 2024 and is part of an extensive project that is being financed by the federal government with an investment volume of around 7.5 million euros. The measures aim to improve the traffic situation and compensate for the new construction of the B 10 between Göppingen-Ost and Gingen-Ost as well as the B 466 bypass Süßen.
The section between Osttangente and Haldenstraße in Eislingen will be completed on June 4, 2025. However, from this same date at 2 p.m., the section between Haldenstrasse and Agrarhandel Wahl will also be completely closed until the end of July 2025. This full closure is necessary for occupational safety and logistical reasons.
Construction work and diversions
The dismantling measures include not only the reduction from four to two lanes, but also the creation of a cycle highway. In addition, five new roundabouts will be created, street lighting will be replaced and two bridges will be renovated. Old supply lines are also examined by the responsible companies and replaced as necessary.
During the construction work, access to the Eichenbach Stadium will remain accessible from Eislingen via the new, completed construction phase. A diversion will be set up for regional traffic via the Süßen Ost junction to the new B 10 to the Eislingen West junction. Small-scale diversions via the northern connection are also possible from the eastern bypass in Eislingen via K 1403 to Salach and back. The local bus services on routes 972 and N97 have also undergone changes, which are included in the construction timetable.
Upcoming work and completion
The final construction phase covers around 250 meters and is expected to be completed by the end of July 2025. During this time, residents and road users should expect restrictions and disruption. At the end of last year, trees and bushes were removed at the entrance to Süßen to make space for the new construction work.
