Anna Veith's review: family happiness and comeback plans in Greece!
The former professional ski athlete Anna Veith inspires not only with her impressive career, but also with her current family life. She won every title imaginable during her playing days and was awarded a gold medal in the Super-G at the 2014 Olympic Games. After almost five years of rest since her resignation in May 2020, she is now enjoying life as a mother of two.
Veith likes to share insights into her private life on Instagram. She recently published pictures from a beach vacation in Greece, where she spent relaxing days with her children. In the photos, she can be seen playing in the sand with her daughter and swinging with her son while the Greek flag waves in the background. She describes these moments as a “flashback to salty hair, slow days and time with loved ones” and is already planning another trip to Greece.
The balance between family and sport
In the interview, the 34-year-old commented on the balance between her family life and the entrepreneurial spirit of an athlete. Sister Ilse Buck, a former fitness presenter, inspired her to develop a training program as a fitness ambassador for carpe diem (Red Bull Media House). Her free fitness videos motivate others to pursue a healthy lifestyle.
“The challenges of a healthy lifestyle are particularly great as a working mother,” says Veith. It underlines the importance of physical and mental strength as the key to developing one's full potential. She also reflects on the differences between her time as a top athlete and being a mother. “My biggest challenge is trusting my son’s skiing abilities,” she admits.
A possible comeback?
In the last few weeks, Anna Veith surprisingly expressed her thoughts on a possible comeback in skiing and is open to new challenges. Upon her retirement, she battled several serious injuries, including two torn cruciate ligaments, which ended her career prematurely. However, she currently sees opportunities to create a positive environment for both herself and other athletes and to inspire through her experiences.
Veith's time on the farm not only shaped her culinary preferences, but also her views on a healthy lifestyle. Despite her successful career, she regrets that her children cannot have the same experiences. It is all the more important for her to balance family and career together with her husband, the former snowboarder Manuel Veith, and to harmonize family life.
Although Anna Veith is considered a positive person, she also admits to having negative days. She has great respect for Lindsey Vonn and her return to competitive sports, but currently doesn't see a comeback for herself in the near future.
In addition, athletic women have important health considerations to consider, particularly those related to hormonal changes associated with menopause and menopause. These factors can affect performance and present challenges when dealing with the demands of training and competition. A healthy lifestyle, as advocated by Anna Veith, can make a decisive contribution here and is of great importance for many women.
At a time when awareness of integrating health and fitness into the training process is increasing, Anna Veith emphasizes the importance of setting individual goals and promoting your own mental health.
