Midsummer Remise: Tradition, cuisine and music in Hohen Brünzow!

The historic opens next weekend, June 21st and 22nd Hohen Brünzow Castle its doors as part of this year's Midsummer Remise. Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The castle garden invites you to relax and enjoy coffee and cake.

The Hofbäckerei Klee, based on the estate, will provide magical cakes, while honey from local beekeeping Immenstube will also be available. Guided tours of the castle and Wilfriede Maaß's neighboring ceramics workshop take place on both days at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Maaß ceramics are particularly known for their loving decorations with gingko leaves.

Cultural program

On Sunday, the musical accompaniment by the duo Romy and Christoph, who play bluesy lovesoul under the shady gingko tree, will be a highlight of the day. There will also be a dendrological tour at 1 p.m., which will give visitors interesting information about the trees in the estate park.

Hohen Brünzow Castle, which was built in the late 19th century, is an impressive example of late classicist architecture. Once richly decorated and surrounded by a park, the estate was used as a seed breeding farm with livestock farming after the Second World War. Until the 1990s, Hohenbrünzow was one of the few completely preserved estates in the region.

A look at the Midsummer Remise

The Midsummer Remise is an annual event in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania during which numerous estates and manor houses are opened for viewing. This year, many places are taking part, creating a cultural offering for the entire family. In addition to Hohen Brünzow, visitors can also visit other impressive castles. Shuttle tours are offered that take you to various regions, including the Klützer Winkel, the Mecklenburger Gutsland and the Mecklenburg Lake District.
