Enie van de Meiklokjes, the charming presenter, is not only the face of the popular Sat.1 show “The Great Baking”, but also the ambassador of the Low German writing competition “Vertell Doch mal”. This competition, organized by NDR, Radio Bremen and the Ohnsorg Theater, aims to promote Low German language and culture. In an interview on the Red Sofa with Inka Schneider, Enie talks about her personal ties to retro fashion and the role of Denmark in her life, while also striving to improve her Low German skills. The program, in which she appears as an ambassador, attracts a wide audience and will be broadcast on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The “Vertell noch mal” competition begins at 6:45 p.m. and will be repeated early on Friday, June 20, 2025. Successes in the baking world

The twelfth season of “The Great Baking” started on August 28, 2024 and shows how ten talented amateur bakers compete against each other. Under the proven moderation of Enie van de Meiklokjes, the participants fight for the title of “Germany’s best hobby baker” and prize money of 10,000 euros. The winner also receives a baking book and the golden cupcake. The show is broadcast on Wednesdays at 8:15 p.m. and has secured a permanent place on German television with the jury consisting of Bettina Schliephake-Burchardt and Christian Hümbs. Augsburger Allgemeine highlights that Enie has been moderating since 2013 and celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2023.

Born as Doreen Grochowski on August 1, 1974 in Potsdam, Enie grew up in a creative environment and completed training as an advertising designer. Her television career began in 1996 on the music channel VIVA, and she chose the pseudonym “Enie van de Meiklokjes” to escape her birth name. She became known for presenting “Bravo TV” on RTL2 between 1999 and 2001 and has also appeared in radio play productions and TV films.

However, Enie van de Meiklokjes is not just a presenter, but also shows her talents in other areas: Since 2012, she has been part of the guessing team of the quiz show “Master of Everyday Life” and also moderates the baking show “Sweet & Easy – Enie bakes” on Sixx.
