Kunsthaus OM in Eschenbach: Reopening with sound events!
On June 2, 2025, the newly designed Kunsthaus in Eschenbach will open its doors and delight visitors with a series of kick-off events. Led by the musician and therapist Oliver Möhwald, both didgeridoo workshops and a sound evening will take place in June. The art house is now called “Kunsthaus OM” and will be offering a regular program from autumn onwards that will offer art lovers and curious visitors a variety of opportunities for creative development, such as: Free press reported.
The reopening of the Kunsthaus not only creates a cultural highlight, but also creates a space for creative encounters and artistic exchange. The first series of events highlights interest in alternative art formats and aims to engage the local community.
Cultural diversity and commitment
The Kunsthaus Eigenregie, another creative center in the Upper Vogtland, experienced a difficult period during the pandemic when it had to close. Nevertheless, interest in small concerts and art formats remains. The Kunsthaus Eigenregie, which is housed in a 200-year-old country inn, also offers a private and non-commercial event format called “Session Saloon”. This was launched in 1991 and is aimed at supporters and those interested in art and diversity. Registrations are possible via various channels such as email and social media, as stated on the website Self-direction is described.
In the private premises, visitors will find a guest room as an exchange bar, a ballroom for concerts, theater and film as well as studios for creative workshops. This diversity makes the Kunsthaus an elementary part of cultural life in the region. The combination of natural surroundings and creative offerings without the influence of lobbying appeals to many artists and those interested in art.
Common goal: Strengthen culture in Vogtland
Both institutions, the Kunsthaus OM and the Kunsthaus Eigenregie, pursue a similar goal: They want to bring well-known artists to Vogtland and create a space for cultural activities that promotes authentic exchange. Visitors are invited to discover what the art houses have to offer and to become part of this lively cultural scene by taking part in workshops and events.
With the start of the new program, the operators hope to promote the region's creativity and offer a platform for intercultural exchange. Art and culture are not only creative processes, but also an important part of the community in the Upper Vogtland.
