The local council approves five new construction contracts for our village!
At a meeting, the local council decided to award several important jobs relating to both renovation and maintenance measures. These decisions affect the town of Obern and surrounding communities and shed light on ongoing efforts to improve the region's infrastructure.
A central point is the renovation of Arvenbüelstrasse, for which a contract was awarded to Toller Unternehmungen AG from Eschenbach. The total amount for this measure is:Fr. 277,777.70 including VAT. This renovation is part of a broader strategy to sustainably improve road quality.
Maintenance work and apartment building renovation
In addition to the road work, the local council is planning various smaller maintenance works on 1st and 2nd class local roads. The contract for this was also awarded to Toller Unternehmungen AG, with an award price ofFr. 49,983.15 including VAT.
Another project concerns the renovation of the kitchens in the apartment building at Aeschenstrasse 1. Gmür + Braun AG from Ennenda received the contract for thisFr. 67,440.85 including VAT.
Fire protection also called for a contract to be awarded. Gallus Hautle AG from Wittenbach is entrusted with the provision of fire protection clothing for the Amden fire department, with a total price ofFr. 71,552.60 including VAT.
Pollutant screening for public buildings
Most recently, an order was placed with Building Diagnostik Schmid AG from Zurich to carry out pollutant screening for various buildings in the village center that are publicly owned. This order has a total value ofFr. 13,901.65 including VAT.
The financing of such renovation and maintenance measures is often a hotly debated topic. The Federal Administrative Court decided in 2018 that municipalities could pass on the costs of road renovations to property owners. This is based on the Municipal Taxes Act (KAG), which allows authorities to demand a share of the costs if improving road quality is beneficial for the owners. There is no legal upper limit for the costs that can be passed on to the owners, and these vary depending on the extent of the renovation work.
In many cases, the owners have to bear the corresponding costs due to the positive effects of the measures on their properties. A typical cost example shows that, according to the Association of German Property Users, the cost contributions are usually between3 EUR/m² and 50 EUR/m²The exact amount depends on various factors, such as the type of road and the size of the property.
