Successful brothers: Janne and Arne Holz dominate the ski jumping season!
The siblings Janne and Arne Holz from Waiblingen can look back on a remarkable ski jumping season. Janne Holz, 18 years old, was able to prevail in the J17/18 age group in the DSV Youth Cup this year and won the overall ranking. His passion for ski jumping is reflected not only in his successes, but also in his childhood memories. From an early age he spent family holidays in Lathi, where visiting ski jumps was one of the highlights.
After a series of successful international jumping results and being appointed to the C squad of the German Ski Association (DSV), Janne is moving forward. When the ski boarding school in Furtwangen became his new home in the summer of 2023, he was able to devote himself more intensively to the sport. With a new home and a new school, he is determined to continue advancing his career.
Successes of the brothers
Arne Holz, who also delivered remarkable performances at the age of 16, took fourth place in his age group in the DSV Youth Cup. He also achieved third place at the German Youth Championships. Together, the two brothers can look back on a successful season characterized by hard work and continuous training.
The Holz brothers' successes not only underline their talent, but also the importance that ski jumping has in their free time and in their family environment. Janne, who is not only active in ski jumping but is also enthusiastic about gymnastics and mountain biking, took his first steps in this sport in Degenfeld and has already celebrated his first successes there. Both brothers show that commitment and discipline are the key to great achievements.
