On June 6, 2025, the Kirchheim region and the surrounding area will offer a variety of exciting events for all ages and interests. The offerings range from live music to historical city tours and culinary experiences.

It starts on Friday evening, June 6th, in the Reuschwald beer garden in Nabern. The band AcouPack will perform here from 7 p.m. and promises a relaxed evening with melodies in the open air. At the same time, the “Base Night” will take place at the Blues Base in Wernau, which starts at 8 p.m. Fans of live music will also get their money's worth in Nürtingen, where the Tübingen band Powerfinger plays a Neil Young tribute. Admission to this concert in the Alte Seegrasspinnerei is free, but reservations are recommended.

Diverse cultural offerings

From Friday to Sunday, June 8th, the Kult-ur-Open-Air takes place at the foot of Limburg. This event promises an exciting weekend full of music and culture, further information about which can be found on the website www.kulturopenair.de. There will also be various events in Kirchheim on Saturday, June 7th:

  • Um 19 Uhr spielen Calo Rapallo und Frank Mühlenberger am Platz der kleinen Freiheit.
  • Eine historische Stadtführung startet um 14 Uhr an der Kirchheim-Info, wo sich Interessierte anmelden können.

  • Auf dem Otto-Ficker-Areal in Kirchheim findet von 10 bis 22 Uhr das OFA-Sommerfest statt, bei dem kulinarische Köstlichkeiten und Aktivitäten für Kinder angeboten werden.

Sunday June 8th offers another opportunity for entertainment. From 7 p.m., handmade music by Lenz & Friend will be presented at Platz der kleine Freiheit. During the day you can explore the open gardens in Esslingen and the Middle Neckar area, which are accessible from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition, there will be accordion music in the “Café in the Garden” of the Schopfloch distillery Wunsch Manufaktur as well as the first Kirchheim vintage car meeting at the freight station area, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tradition and community

On Whit Monday, June 9th, the celebrations continue with several more events: a traditional Arbeg Inclusion classic car meeting on the Pfulb as well as a “Church in the Green” service at Reußenstein, which is held at the Reußensteiner Hof if it rains.

In addition to the regional events taking place in Kirchheim, cultural activities also take place at Mālpils kultūras centrs in Latvia. The center is considered one of the largest rural cultural centers and offers a variety of spaces, including a 550-seat auditorium, a modern exhibition hall and a round dance hall, which is also used as a concert hall due to its excellent acoustics. This shows the valuable exchange and connection of culture across national borders. Mālpils kultūras centrs hosts various events, from artistic competitions to conferences and courses, further enriching the range of cultural experiences.

The diverse events in Kirchheim as well as the activities of the Mālpils kultūras centr illustrate the importance of culture and community in different parts of Europe and invite you to take part in these special moments.
