State Championships 2025: Celebrate the best horses from BW in Weilheim!

The anticipation for the State Championships in Weilheim/Teck is growing, because the best young horses from Baden-Württemberg will be presented here from July 2nd to 6th, 2025. Organized by the Baden-Württemberg Horse Breeding Association and the Weilheim/Teck Riding and Driving Club, this is the fifth edition of this renowned event. The focus is on promoting young talent and presenting outstanding achievements in equestrian sports.

A total of numerous competitions will be held over the five days of the event. On Wednesday and Thursday the state champions for 4-, 5- and 6-year-old show jumpers will be in the spotlight. The PSA Tour is an incentive for the 4-year-old horses, while the 5- and 6-year-old show jumpers can qualify for the Al Shira'aa Federal Championships. Another highlight is the “Golden Ribbon” for the 7- and 8-year-old show jumpers who have to prove themselves in S* show jumping. The Grand Prix of the Baden-Württemberg Horse Breeding Association (S**) will also be held on Thursday.

Special features and supporting program

The event offers a comprehensive supporting program that has something in store for young and old. A highlight is the foal show on Wednesday evening, followed by the state champions of riding horses, dressage and riding ponies on Friday and Saturday. A commented short Grand Prix in class S*** on Friday evening will be another exciting event for spectators.

The total prize money of around 20,000 euros and a breeder's bonus of 30 percent underline the importance of this event for breeders and young sports. In addition, the breeders of the state champions are honored with free jumps by well-known stallions. An additional focus is on promoting young talent through the breed club cup, the state youth dressage cup and the lead rein competition in the breed club Kids Cup.

The state championships take place on the premises of the Weilheim-Teck riding and driving club, Kornbergstraße 85, 73235 Weilheim an der Teck. Admission is free, which makes the event particularly attractive for families and equestrian sports enthusiasts.
