Amanda Owen brings new show to Middlesbrough: humor and warmth!
Amanda Owen, known from popular TV series Our Yorkshire Farm and Our Farm Next Door, is bringing a new show to Middlesbrough on Sunday December 7th. The event, titled “Onwards and Upwards: Farming, Family and Fiascos,” will feature two hours of heartfelt stories and humorous anecdotes from her life as a farmer. In this show, Amanda will share how the 200-year-old derelict historic farmhouse Anty John's was transformed into a future family home. The challenge involved not just herself, but the entire family and a team of construction workers, including her son Reuben, who stars in a current Channel 5 show. Tickets for the show are already available and cost £29.70, as is Yahoo News reported.
A defining experience for the Owen family occurred in December 2022 when Amanda and Clive were faced with a serious emergency situation. Her son Miles suffered a collapse at Ravenseat Farm during a diabetic emergency. In the remote region where they live, it takes an hour on average for an ambulance to arrive, while others in urban areas can receive help in just 10 minutes. Luckily, Miles was quickly stabilized by a team from Great North Air Ambulance Service and taken to hospital in just 17 minutes. He expressed his gratitude and emphasized that his life is thanks to the rescue team, like Express reported.
Insights into life as a farmer
In her new show, Amanda will not only report on the renovation of the old farmhouse. She will also share pictures of family adventures with her nine children, as well as pets and farm animals, including Shetland pony Little Joe. As a bestselling author, Amanda has published five books about the life of a Yorkshire Shepherdess. But her creative journey doesn't end there, because in September 2025 she will also become a children's book author with her new book "Christmas Tales From The Farm". Signed copies of this book will also be available for purchase on the evening of the show.
Amanda and her family are known not only for their heartfelt stories, but also for the challenges that come with living in rural Yorkshire. These experiences are not only entertaining but also inspiring to many who live in similar situations or simply have an interest in rural living. With her new show in Middlesbrough, Amanda Owen offers an opportunity to experience the diversity and pride of rural life, which also appeals to viewers off screen.
