Handball in Germany

After football, handball is one of the most popular popular sports in Germany. The high number of members of the German Handball Association (DHB) of over 765,000 and the impressive number of spectators in the German Handball Bundesliga (HBL), which attracts around 1.5 million spectators per season, demonstrates the great interest in this sport. THW Kiel leads the HBL's all-time table and is the record winner of the DHB Cup.

The Vesalius Cup not only highlighted the strengths of the participating teams, but also further consolidated the importance and popularity of handball in the region. The success of TSV Neckartenzlingen and the commitment of the organizers show how lively the handball scene remains.
