Handball talents from Erkenbrechtsweiler: A strong sibling trio!

The Allgaier siblings from Erkenbrechtsweiler, Lilly (19), Romy (17) and Henry (16), continue to make a name for themselves and shape the handball scene in Baden-Württemberg. Lilly, who took a new path after her involvement in the women's section of TV Nellingen, now plays for the Eulen Friesenheim in Ludwigshafen. There she was recently able to impress with outstanding performances, especially in the 22:29 win against Wolfschlägen, where she scored 10 goals.

The support from her ex-coach Jan Hirschmüller in training the Waiblingen Tigers, the second division team, will help Lilly to develop further. In addition to Lilly, her sister Romy will also be joining the Tigers this season. Romy has signed a contract and is also taking part in the double game right for the A-youth team of Frisch Auf Göppingen, which has recently qualified for the A-youth Bundesliga.

Successful start to the A-Youth season

Last Sunday, the A-youth team from Frisch Auf Göppingen started the new season of the 2nd Youth Bundesliga South. The first game against SG Pforzheim-Eutingen took place in the sports center in Friesenheim in front of well-filled spectator stands. The two teams were initially unable to break away, which was due to their inexperience in the first game of the season. Pforzheim led 12:10 at halftime.

But the HLZ didn’t give up. After a weak first half, the defense stabilized and the team turned the deficit into a 3-goal lead within five minutes. In the end, the HLZ secured its first points of the season with a 29:25 win. The next challenges lie ahead with the game against HT Munich next Saturday.

Henry in the youth academy

The youngest of the siblings, Henry, is also active in handball. He has been training at the Frisch-Auf youth center since the C-youth level and lives in a shared apartment in Göppingen. In addition to handball, he attends the Cotta School in Cannstatt, which specializes in elite athletes. Last season, Henry showed good performances in the A-youth team and will shine on the field in the new round as a pivot and in the inside block.

The A-Youth from Frisch Auf Göppingen were also able to qualify for the 1st A-Youth Bundesliga with a strong performance and defeated the Eulen Friesenheim. With this development, the Allgaier family is firmly anchored in the sport of handball and their career is being followed with excitement.
