Arson attack on Turkish bakery in Wernau - witnesses wanted!

On the night of May 29, 2025, a suspected arson attack was carried out on a Turkish bakery in Wernau. The criminal police have initiated an investigation into suspected arson against unknown perpetrators. The alert police were informed at 4:30 a.m. by a witness who reported a bang and the subsequent fire on Kirchheimer Strasse. On site it became clear that the facade of the bakery had been damaged.

Residents quickly arrived on the scene and were able to put out the fire. Due to the explosion of a glass pane, a resident of the house who complained of feeling unwell was examined by the emergency services. Fortunately, four other residents who were staying on the upper floor were uninjured.
