Things get more exciting from 2 p.m. because then there is a tug-of-war competition. This traditional game brings groups together and promotes team spirit in the community. Visitors are welcome to test their strength or simply watch and enjoy the atmosphere.
The role of the fire department in the community
The Bissingen Volunteer Fire Department performs important tasks in the community, such as fire protection and general assistance in emergencies. According to ortsdienst.de, saving people, animals and property is the top priority. In addition, preventing environmental damage is becoming increasingly important.
The fire department has a long history since the first volunteer fire department in Germany was founded in 1835 under the name Spritzengemeinschaft. The term “fire department” itself was not coined until 1847. In addition to the professional fire departments, which are local authorities, the volunteer fire department shows how important voluntary structures are for disaster protection.
With the Florian-Hock, the Bissingen Volunteer Fire Department not only offers entertainment, but also an insight into the diverse tasks and importance of the fire department for the community. Everyone is welcome to take part this weekend and support the fire department.
