Isny forestry company Albrecht in the final of the German Forest Prize!

The Albrecht forestry company, led by Remig Albrecht, has made it to the final round of the German Forest Prize 2025. This award, which plays an important role in the forestry industry, will be presented on July 10th in Berlin. Remig Albrecht and his team are enthusiastic about the nomination and emphasize their company's emotional connection to the forest. The company was founded in 1996 by Remig and Hermann Albrecht and has since become a major player in the industry.

The company is set up as a multi-generational business and currently employs 14 people. Particularly noteworthy is the extensive machinery that is used for various forestry work and timber harvesting. The services are aimed at both municipal and private customers and include, among other things, standard harvesting measures, special felling and steep slope work. Four sons of the company founders are active in the company and thus secure the future of the company.

Competition and awards ceremony

As schwaebische.de reports, three companies are competing against each other in three categories. In order to involve the audience in the decision, online voting is possible until June 15th on the website www.deutscher-waldpreis.de. Those interested have the opportunity to get an impression of the nominees through application videos.

The German Forest Prize has been awarded annually since 2018 by the forestry portal forstpraxis.de. The patron, Federal Minister of Agriculture Cem Özdemir, supports the award of personalities, institutions and foundations that are committed to the forest. The categories include “forest owner”, “forester”, “forest entrepreneur” as well as special prizes for “sustainability of forests” and “forestry associations”, as dlv.de notes.

Commitment to the forestry sector

The nomination of the Albrecht forestry company comes in the context of increasing social awareness of the importance of forestry. The German Forest Prize has been honoring the sustainable efforts of actors in this area for years. For example, at the 2024 awards ceremony, the Forestry Entrepreneur of the Year, Friedrich Schwarz, who is driving digitalization in forestry, and the Forest Owner of the Year, Carl Graf zu Eltz, who takes care of the rejuvenation of dying old stands, were honored.

Finally, the efforts of Remig Albrecht and his team show that the future of the German forest also lies in the hands of passionate entrepreneurs who want to set new standards in the industry. The award ceremony in Berlin promises to be a highlight for the companies involved and the entire forestry industry.
