Unbelievable! Today, July 6, 2025, the eagerly awaited 25th edition of the sensational EZ run took place in Esslingen! Around 3,000 runners gathered in the picturesque old town to take part in this extraordinary sporting event, which not only literally became a melting pot for running enthusiasts, but also represented x-fold support for needy children from the region!
A unique experience awaited all participants, as the route stretched over a breathtaking 10 kilometers through the historical backdrop with medieval half-timbered facades and the charming cobblestones that give every step a nostalgic flair. The running weather was absolutely fantastic - perfect conditions to set personal best times and take on the challenge of the day!

As the Esslinger newspaper reported, the third AOK school run started at the same time, which not only encouraged the young talents, but also fueled the anticipation of their sporting future!
The organizers, an unbeatable team from “Esslingen's Flaming Hearts”, once again presented their commitment to the good cause by making a valuable contribution to supporting the children in Esslingen with every registration fee. And for just 13 euros* for the main run, this event became the absolute bargain of the year! The participants were also offered high-priced functional running shirts worth 30 euros – simply unbelievable.
The perfect framework conditions
But that wasn't all! The moments of enjoyment were unsurpassed until the end! After the sweat and exertion of the run, all adult participants were cordially invited to the after-run BBQ in the courtyard of the Schelztorklinik! For just 20 euros*, not only perfect timing was guaranteed thanks to an integrated chip in the start number, but also a fantastic culinary gastronomy awaited!
The Esslingen hearts flashed with a clear call for participation: Support children and young people! Entry fees are affordable, and every contribution helps make starting school easier by counting 1 euro of each entry fee as a donation. Simply brilliant!
