SENSATION: Huge corn maze in Flacht – the search for clues begins!
An incredible sensation is unfolding in Flacht! Under the captivating motto “Lost and Found”, the CVJM Flacht has created a breathtaking corn maze on a gigantic area of 2.2 hectares, the size of two football fields. This brilliant idea came about during the winter planning of fundraising campaigns for the urgently needed renovation of their beloved leisure center “Friedenshöhe”. Thanks to the great initiative of farmer Micha Pflüger, the maze maze bloomed in the spring and now captivates visitors from the entire region!
Amidst this impressive green structure, the corn can grow up to an incredible 20 centimeters per day! A dedicated team of eight volunteers tirelessly invested over 2,200 hours of work to realize this unique project. Admission is free, but here comes the crucial appeal: donations are essential to ensure the renovation of the leisure center, which is a second home for many!
A labyrinth full of adventure and meaning
But what makes this labyrinth so special? While children go on an exciting search for hidden sheep, which is impressively reminiscent of the biblical parable of the lost sheep, young people have to face tricky online puzzles. Adults can think deeply about the topic of losing and finding again. This well thought-out concept appeals to the entire family and magically attracts people!
The Christian foundation of the project gives it an additional touching touch, but it is up to everyone whether they want to get involved. Amazing support comes from regional partners, including a specialist sowing company and a printing company, who do everything they can to ensure that the labyrinth is both visually and excitingly exciting. Community is alive here and the commitment is simply overwhelming!
Collect donations from the Christmas tree too
Another highlight that will make hearts beat faster is the upcoming Christmas tree collection campaign on January 13, 2024! Organized by the Flachter Jungescharkindern, the collection begins at 9:30 a.m. A minimum donation of 2 euros per tree is requested here in order to further promote the renovation of the leisure center. An incredible 4,515.60 euros were collected last year!
The options for donating are diverse and innovative - whether in cash at the tree, via a QR code via PayPal or by bank transfer to the specified account. The tireless helpers, supporters and, above all, the enthusiastic young children deserve this thank you and the anticipation for the next campaign is palpable!
