Casting for young pony show jumpers: Register now in Waldenbuch!

An exciting event for young riders is coming up in Waldenbuch: A trial training in pony sports will take place on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at the Hasenhof equestrian center. The organizer, the Baden-Württemberg Equestrian Sports Association together with the Pony Sports Disciplinary Committee, invites all interested riders who were born in 2010 or later to this extraordinary event. Participants have the opportunity to demonstrate their show jumping skills and gain valuable experience.

The casting is aimed at talented riders who are not part of a current show jumping squad but have competitive ambitions. Previous success in jumping is not necessary, but participants should already have experience in jumping competitions or performance tests from 50 cm. During the trial training, individual jumps and course sections are overcome with the aim of successfully completing a small course.

Participation and registration

Participation in this event is free, but registration is required. Interested riders should register by November 28, 2025 at the latest. Some information is required to register: the address, email address, telephone number, year of birth and the performance level of the pony and rider must be submitted. In addition, parents and home trainers are welcome at the casting to support and accompany the riders. After the casting there will be a final meeting with Wolfgang Arnold, who will give the participants valuable feedback.

The Hasenhof equestrian center

The Waldenbuch-Hasenhof riding club is idyllically located on the edge of the Schönbuch Nature Park and offers excellent infrastructure for equestrian sports. The riding facility, which was founded in 1974, has various facilities to promote hobby and competitive sports.

• Ein Sandplatz (2200 qm), errichtet im Jahr 2022, mit einem modernen Ebbe-Flut-System.
• Ein weiterer Sandplatz (30×50 Meter), der 2024 saniert wurde.
• Weitläufige Rasenflächen für verschiedene Aktivitäten.

The surrounding area also offers wonderful riding grounds, which allows riders to explore the nature around Waldenbuch. The riding facility is known for its annual varied events for everyone and is an important place for the equestrian community in the region. It should be noted that there are no school horses available, so no riding school lessons are offered.
