The Congress Center Böblingen/Sindelfingen GmbH (CCBS) has joined the German Sustainability Code (DNK). In doing so, the CCBS is sending a strong signal for transparent, ecologically and socially responsible corporate management in the region. Managing director Thomas Fenzl emphasizes that sustainability is an attitude that is actively shaped.
The company operates four important event venues: the Böblingen congress hall, the Sindelfingen town hall, the Böblingen savings bank forum and the Böblingen/Sindelfingen airfield festival area. Given the growing interest among organizers in sustainable event locations, CCBS would like to host environmentally friendly events.
Sustainability measures in detail
The CCBS has implemented various measures to conserve resources. This includes digital event organization, waste separation, the switch to LED technology and the use of motion detectors and environmentally friendly cleaning products. The CCBS also sources green electricity and is connected to the local district heating network, which contributes to greenhouse gas neutrality. These measures not only offer guests a better carbon footprint, but also ensure more efficient processes for the organizers.
