Work, family, partnership: This is how you achieve the perfect balance!
On October 14, 2025, a lecture organized by the Gerlingen Adult Education Center in collaboration with the city of Leonberg will take place in Leonberg, which will deal with the compatibility of career, everyday family life and partnership. The aim of the event is to provide impulses, strategies and food for thought for a fulfilling everyday life. This is particularly relevant as many parents and carers find balancing work goals and family responsibilities challenging Haufe Academy reported.
The speaker of the lecture is an experienced entrepreneur who is also the mother and partner of a professional soldier. She plans to combine personal experience with her professional know-how from couples counseling and communication science. The event will take place in the conference room at entrance B of Neuköllner Straße 3-5 in Leonberg and starts at 7:00 p.m. The entrance fee is 6.00 euros and it is recommended to register in advance. Remaining tickets are available at the box office.
Current challenges in balancing family and work
The topic of compatibility is particularly relevant given the changes in life models and family structures in recent decades. More and more parents are working and there is an increase in single parents. A study by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs shows that 96% of employees with children consider family-friendly measures to be important. Nevertheless, 91% see the compatibility of care times with their job as important, but only 37% feel that the implementation has been implemented well.
The challenges are complex: there is often a lack of sufficient childcare spaces, and inflexible working hours and high professional demands lead to stress and overwhelm. Loud Haufe Academy Over 60% of those surveyed find life more stressful than 15 to 20 years ago. These pressures lead many parents to reduce their working hours or leave work altogether, in some cases leading to lost wages and negative career impacts.
Strategies to improve compatibility
However, creating a successful work-life balance can significantly improve quality of life, employee satisfaction and productivity. Flexible working time models, home office options and a supportive company culture are some of the recommended strategies. For example, companies should also offer support in childcare and care and consider further training courses on time and stress management.
The event in Leonberg is therefore not only an opportunity for personal development, but also a step towards a work culture that balances professional success and a fulfilling family life. The interest in such topics shows how important it is that both society and companies create suitable framework conditions to overcome the challenges of the modern family.
