New face in the Holzgerlingen municipal council: Tina Binder takes over!

There is a change in the Holzgerlingen local council: Tina Binder is taking a seat in the BNU parliamentary group. She replaces Markus Rupprecht, who is resigning from his position due to moving to Herrenberg. Rupprecht has worked for the BNU on the local council since his election in 2019, bringing over six years of experience to local political work. During his term of office he took on various tasks, which Tina Binder will now continue.

With the change, the BNU faction has found an experienced successor. Binder will take over all seats on the committees and working groups previously held by Rupprecht. This step enables a seamless continuation of ongoing projects and decisions in the local council.

Role and tasks of the local council

The Holzgerlingen municipal council is the central body of the city administration. He is responsible for local political leadership and determines important decisions and principles for administration. The tasks of the local council include, among other things, statutory and budget law as well as planning and personnel sovereignty. The council's decisions are carried out directly by the city administration. The mayor, who is also chairman of the municipal council, represents the city legally and leads the administration.

The current legislative period runs from 2019 to 2024, in which Eberhard Binder was elected as 1st deputy mayor and Jens Uwe Renz as 2nd deputy mayor. The city administration is divided into two business areas: The first department includes the main and human resources office as well as the building department, while the second department looks after the financial administration and the municipal utilities. The mayor, Ioannis Delakos, heads the first department, while Jean-Rémy Planche heads the second department as first alderman.
