Hot western tournament in Holzgerlingen: Reining and Prosecco Pleasure!
Next weekend, on October 4th and 5th, 2025, the Schönbuch riding and driving club in Holzgerlingen is expecting an exciting western tournament. The events start at 8 a.m. on both days and take place in the old riding hall. This is the fourth time this important event has been held at the RFV Schönbuch riding facility.
The competitions within the tournament include the disciplines reining, horsemanship and pleasure. Particularly noteworthy are the special stages, among which the Prosecco Pleasure promises a festive touch.
Family friendly program
The western tournament offers a colorful supporting program that appeals to both children and families. The physical well-being of the guests is taken care of. In addition, the lungeing circle at the jumping arena was completed, in which participants and spectators have the opportunity to actively participate. This new area is particularly designed for lunging and ground work and has a special tread layer of around 12-15 cm.
Another highlight of the event will be the inauguration of the new sand arena, which was opened on June 15, 2025 during the course jumping. These weatherproof optimizations ensure the best conditions for riders and horses. In addition, three new sponsored jumps have been commissioned for the jumping course, which will be completed in time for the start of the tournament.
A look at the future
The organization of the event, as well as the completion of the lungeing circle, is made possible through the support of local partners. A special thank you goes to the city of Holzgerlingen, the Runge Werbetechnik company and the Klein hairdressing salon for their contributions to the new obstacles.
