Super Biker 2025” campaign: Guide for accident-free motorcycling!

The “Super Biker 2025” campaign starts on June 28, 2025 on Urnerboden. This preventive program aims to reduce the number of motorcycle accidents and increase road safety for motorcyclists. The initiative is organized by the Uri and Glarus cantonal police, the Uri Office for Road and Shipping Traffic, the Federation of Motorcyclists of Switzerland (FMS) and the Federal Office for Accident Prevention (BfU). Representatives from these authorities will be on site to answer questions about motorcycle use, road safety and accident prevention. An expert from the Road Traffic Office is also available to clarify technical concerns.

The campaign will be made visible from May to October, including through posters along popular motorcycle routes. The aim is not only to raise general awareness, but also to carry out targeted traffic monitoring. These include noise and speed controls on busy routes as well as the distribution of information brochures with tips on accident prevention. The Uri cantonal police emphasize the importance of consideration and respect among all road users in order to ensure accident-free journeys.

Increased number of accidents as a warning sign

The tips from the Bern Cantonal Police are clear and concise. Motorcyclists should always keep reserves when driving, only overtake when there is sufficient visibility and drive defensively in order to significantly reduce the risk of an accident. It is also recommended to pay attention to your own shadow in sunlight and to plan your cornering speed sensibly. Safety measures such as defensive driving and maintaining an appropriate distance from other road users are paramount. Regular maintenance of the motorcycle and participation in further training courses are also recommended to further increase safety on the road.

Shared responsibility in road traffic

The measures taken by the Uri Canton Police and the Bern Canton Police clearly show that road safety is a shared responsibility. While the “Super Biker 2025” campaign focuses on Urnerboden, the “schliifts?” campaign ensures that ensure that motorcyclists in the Bern region are also actively sensitized and trained for greater safety. Both programs emphasize the importance of prevention and information in order to reduce the number of traffic accidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
