Kernen: Church musician Mirjam Haag inspires with concerts and love!
Mirjam Laetitia Haag, a talented church musician from Kernen, recently received an important assistant position at the famous Hildebrandt organ in Naumburg. She sees this position as the special challenge that she has been looking for for a long time. Immediately after her appointment, she enthusiastically reported on her positive experiences in a summer letter and emphasized how much she enjoyed her new job. Most recently she enjoyed a government trip to the Netherlands and the inauguration of two restored organs in the Naumburg area.
Haag also found her personal happiness in her wedding, which she describes as the “absolute and unforgettable highlight” of her life. She was previously known as a church musician in the Mauritius Church in Rommelshausen and as a choir director. In Naumburg she regularly plays at numerous lunchtime concerts and has between one and three concerts per week in her main season.
Concerts and events
In order to further develop her musical skills, Haag is currently completing additional postgraduate studies in Leipzig and Weimar. She is actively planning concerts, including an important lunchtime concert on July 11th in the Jakobikirche Freiberg as well as further performances in Apolda, Oederan and Erfurt.
The International Organ Summer at the Hildebrandt Organ, built in 1746, begins every Friday in July and August at 7:30 p.m. The event offers renowned musicians the opportunity to present their talent to a wide audience. At the beginning of each concert there is an introduction to the program. An exception is August 30th, when the MDR music summer takes place, which means that there will be no organ concert on Friday, August 29th. Haag will continue to appear at the “Organ Point Twelve” event series from May to October and is including both events, especially the Hildebrandt Days, in her planning.
Visitors can look forward to a diverse program that, in addition to traditional organ concerts, also offers exciting laser shows. Further information about the events can be found on the website Hildebrandt organ as well as available on Haag's own homepage.
