A serious traffic accident occurred on Sunday morning around 5:30 a.m. on the L1187 in Stuttgart-Süd when a 31-year-old wrong-way driver collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle in a long right-hand bend. The wrong-way driver, who was coming from the Schattenring towards the city center, used the right lane and overlooked the properly driving car of a 54-year-old man who was working for a nursing service.

In the accident, two passengers of the wrong-way driver, aged 33 and 40, were seriously injured, while the two drivers escaped with minor injuries. After receiving initial treatment, all four people involved were immediately taken to nearby hospitals. Both vehicles were totaled, which underlines the drama of the incident.
