Classic Nike

In addition, the Classic Nike, which distinguishes a classic building, was awarded to the Cologne University of Music and Dance (built between 1969 and 1977). The architecture comes from Werkgruppe 7 and Bauturm from Cologne, commissioned by the North Rhine-Westphalia State Building Authority in Düsseldorf.

A total of 21 projects had already been included in the shortlist for the BDA Architecture Prize, which included works nominated by the BDA's regional associations. These project awards help to recognize and promote the standards and trends in German architecture, which benefits the industry as a whole.

All “Nike” awards will be officially presented on September 28, 2025, so the anticipation for this event can already be felt. The award ceremony reinforces the BDA's commitment to innovative and socially relevant architecture.

Stuttgart's planners and architects are now called upon to actively participate in future competitions in order to further represent the city in the world of architecture. The BDA Architecture Prize Nike is not just an award, but also an opportunity to shed light on the creative and social dimension of architecture.
