The breathtaking 150 years of the Stammheim Fire Department were celebrated in a spectacular ceremony on May 31st! This monster of an anniversary took place in the magnificent Calw auditorium and that's not all! The 175th anniversary of the Calw Weir and the 50th anniversary of the entire Calw Weir were also duly celebrated. A truly epic event that left spectators open-mouthed! The blue light festival that followed was the highlight of the weekend! During this overwhelming spectacle, the fire department's vehicle hall was cleared out and transformed into a dreamlike celebration landscape. Dozens of impressive vehicles stood proudly around the open space while DJ Tortinger whipped the crowd into a frenzy with rousing music. Guests supported the DJ as they danced to the sounds of line dancing!
A celebration of superlatives
The open space was overflowing with festive visitors who enjoyed the delicious specialties at the bar and grill stand. In particular, the sensational fire brigade burger made from bratwurst meat, which was prepared according to a secret recipe, caused widespread enthusiasm. The little festival visitors romped happily around the impressive fire engines and played hide-and-seek and tag - a sight that left an impression on the hearts of those present!
But the real treasure of the Stammheim fire department is the people! With 61 courageous emergency services, including two impressive women, and a nine-member youth fire brigade, which is led by four dedicated youth workers and youth leader Tim Kuhn, they are tireless in action! This community is a fiery nucleus of team spirit and cooperation!

A celebration that brings the importance and enduring courage of firefighters to our hearts will outshine this summer election! When the fear of the flames rages, they show their heroism, and we all celebrate their heroic deeds!
The fire brigade story also has heroes! Frank Wörner, a sports firefighter from Stuttgart, has passionately held up the flags of fire safety education and fire service history since 1986. The Fire Department Association reports that... Wörner works as an expert in various committees and works tirelessly to remember and research the significant experiences of fire service work. Fire protection has a true fighter in him - as is tragically often the case in this story!
These events show us how important the fire department is and how much it protects our community! Every firefighter is a hero who protects our greatest treasure. Let us celebrate them and let the flame of commitment and passion never go out!
