Tuesday, July 17, 2025, begins with a breathtaking event that has the city of Münster in turmoil! The legendary Sommersend has opened its doors, and the spectacle unfolding on Schlossplatz is simply INCREDIBLE! With a festival area measuring a gigantic 32,000 m², the event stretches across limitless dimensions and attracts an estimated 250,000 visitors - so many people that you could even see the goings-on from space!
This sensational event beats all previous folk festivals with a record number of innovations and attractions! The focus is on the overwhelming 42 meter high “No Limit” swing, which challenges even the bravest adrenaline junkie with dizzying loops and overhead turns. The “Air Power” ride, a rotating swing over 20 meters high, can also be experienced for the first time and provides shocking highlights!

And as if that wasn't enough, the “Tiki Ball” water polo facility awaits visitors, inviting young and old to run across the water in its huge, transparent ball! The heart of the attractions is the family roller coaster “Anthony’s Adventure”, which runs in front of the majestic castle for the first time and impresses with an extra long track!

It is a tradition in the truest sense of the word. The origins of the send go back to the 9th century and have developed into one of the largest and most important folk festivals today! Over 200 showmen from all over Germany present the newest and most exciting attractions, paired with culinary delicacies such as bratwursts, crepes and roasted almonds!
For anyone curious, it should be mentioned that the sending sword is a symbol of market law - but it has been missing since 2000! Whoever brings back the sending sword will receive a reward of 1,000 euros! Another law of attraction for the city of Münster!
