Pure inclusion: Stuttgart unified games set strong signs!
On June 29, 2025, the "Unified Games" took place in the Neckarpark in Stuttgart, a great event organized by the VfB Foundation and the Ultra scene. Inclusion was the central theme of this special football tournament, in which a total of 80 people participated.
The tournament, which was held on the site of VfL Stuttgart, attracted several hundred spectators and let more than six mixed teams step on the field. These teams consist of players with and without handicap. The composition of the teams was diverse and inspiring: they came from the seven whistle base, the Pfef-Landes selection of Baden-Württemberg and fan clubs by the Cannstatter curve.
a sign of inclusion
The Unified Games aimed to promote social cohesion and inclusion in football. During the tournament, the importance of this initiative by the words of Benno Nagel, member of the Commando Cannstatt, became clear. He emphasized that it was not about the cup, but about the social importance of the inclusive football.
The event, which started at 12:00 p.m. and lasted until 4:00 p.m., had an additional supporting program and took care of the physical well -being of those present. Interested parties were invited to participate in the activities and to spend the day in good company. It was pointed out for all visitors not to bring glass bottles with them.
an exciting final
In the final of the tournament, a nine -meter shooting was necessary to determine the winner. VfB President Dietmar Allgaier took over the implementation of the award ceremony and thus made the importance of the event visible. The Unified matchday set a strong sign of inclusion and participation, reinforced by the community of fans and players who acted together on and off.
Overall, it should be noted that the Unified Games celebrated the spirit of football by dismantling barriers and creating a strong sense of community. With this initiative, VfB Stuttgart has once again proven that football is a connecting element in our society. Further information on the event is at the VfB Foundation and the Stuttgarter News.
