Donations for grieving children: Support for Lacrima and kindergarten!

The Lacrima – Center for grieving children and young people in Augsburg and the Winterbach kindergarten can look forward to financial support from Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG). This support is the result of a special fundraising campaign that was launched on the occasion of the birthday of Andreas Pohl, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DVAG. Instead of gifts, numerous financial coaches and executives organized a fundraising campaign that is now having a positive impact on the affected institutions.

The donations were presented by Marlies Sailer and Michael Steiner, both of whom are financial coaches at Allfinanz Deutsche Vermögensberatung. It is particularly noteworthy that Marlies Sailer lost her husband, Joachim Sailer, last year. Their experiences with grief and loss form an important basis for their commitment. As a single mother of three children, she has managed to continue her life's work and thus shows impressive strength in a challenging time. Sailer highlights the support she received from both the Lacrima Center and the kindergarten.

Support for grieving children

The Lacrima Center was founded to provide a space for grieving children and young people after the loss of a parent or sibling to share their grief. Children are known to grieve differently than adults, often through playing, painting and romping. The Lacrima offers a trusting environment in which they can express and process their feelings. Regular group lessons are part of the offer, in which children can experience rituals and exchange ideas with others. Participation in Lacrima's programs is free of charge for those affected and is financed through donations, for example for the implementation of art and painting therapies or the training of specialists.

Nadin Kaiser, the head of the Winterbach kindergarten, emphasizes the flexible care that the donations make possible for her facility. These financial resources are crucial for the purchase of new instruments and nativity figures that support the educational work and promote the well-being of the children.

Common goal: grief work with hope

Lacrima is more than just a grief counseling center; it is a contact point where children and young people learn to accept their grief and look positively into the future. The project is actively supported by a full-time project manager and many volunteers and has locations in several cities, including Augsburg, Dresden, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. It remains important that children do not lose hope for a future worth living, even in difficult times.

The support from DVAG shows how important it is to stand up in the community for those who find themselves in a difficult life situation. In addition to financial help, the sense of community is also of great importance, which is promoted both in the Lacrima Center and in the Winterbach kindergarten.
