There was a dramatic incident in St. Georgen in the Black Forest on Friday evening when a 15-year-old fled from the police in her father's car. According to a report by ZVW The young person disregarded stop signs and took federal highway 33 towards Villingen-Schwenningen at excessive speed. Tragically, the escape ended in an accident: after a few hundred meters, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a car dealership. A support pillar and two parked vehicles were significantly damaged.
The two occupants, the 15-year-old and her 16-year-old passenger, were seriously injured in the accident, but their lives are not in danger. They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. The total damage is estimated at around 300,000 euros and the car dealership is now in danger of collapsing due to the damage combined with the structure. It is unclear how the teenager gained access to the car; the investigation into this is still ongoing.
