In the Michelin Guide 2025, five restaurants in the Rems-Murr district were awarded a coveted star. The award-winning locations are Cédric Staudenmeyer in Weinstadt-Beutelsbach, Malathounis in Kernen-Stetten, Bachofer in Waiblingen, Oettinger’s in Fellbach and Nico Burkhardt in Schorndorf. All five restaurants have defended their stars and show that they have maintained their high gastronomic standards. This information is provided by the Stuttgart News confirmed.

In total, 341 restaurants in Germany were awarded at least one Michelin star in the 2025 gastronome guide, which represents the highest number of award-winning restaurants in the guide's history. The entire guide consists of 480 pages and will be published at the end of July. In addition to the five restaurants awarded in the Rems-Murr district, there are also 12 restaurants in Germany with three stars and 47 with two stars, while 282 restaurants were rated with one star.

Defense of the Stars

The announcement of the new stars took place on June 17, 2024 in the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main. There were no new star awards in the Rems-Murr district this year. All previous star holders have defended their rating status, which demonstrates the continuity and consistency of gastronomic quality in the region, as well ZVW reported.

In addition to the award-winning restaurants, two new discoveries in the Rems-Murr district were included in the gourmet guide. These are located in Fellbach and Oppenweiler. Such news shows the dynamic evolution of the region's culinary landscape, even if there are no new stars.
