Motorcycle accident in Althütte: Biker falls while overtaking at risk!

On June 14, 2025, a motorcycle accident occurred in Althütte, injuring a 44-year-old driver. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon on Highway 1120 when the motorcyclist tried to overtake a car and two scooters. At the moment he started to overtake, a Mercedes A-Class also swerved, causing a dangerous situation. The motorcyclist fell and sustained minor injuries. The material damage is estimated at around 4,000 euros, reports ZVW.

This incident is not the only motorcycle accident in the region, as another serious accident on Tuesday afternoon shows. Three motorcyclists collided on the Neuffener Steige in the Esslingen district, with everyone involved suffering injuries. The accident occurred around 5:40 p.m. when a 59-year-old motorcyclist overtook a 44-year-old before a sharp left turn. At that moment, a 22-year-old biker came towards us at an angle, which led to a dangerous situation. The 22-year-old had to brake hard, fell and slipped against the 59-year-old's motorcycle. The latter fell onto the road and crashed into the embankment.

Injuries and damage

In this accident, those involved suffered various injuries. The 59-year-old sustained serious injuries and was taken to a clinic. The 22-year-old and the 44-year-old, however, only suffered minor injuries and were also taken to hospitals. The total damage to the motorcycles amounts to around 20,000 euros. The fire department was called to assist as supplies were leaking due to the accident. The Neuffener Steige was completely closed until 9:15 p.m. in order to carry out the clean-up work Stuttgart News reported.
