Shocking traffic chaos is imminent! The popular state road 275 will be completely closed for several weeks from Monday, August 25th at 7 a.m.! According to information from Schwäbische.de The road has to close due to urgent new construction work on the left-turn lane to the Upper Swabian Museum Village of Kürnbach. Can it get worse? Yes, because that means a total blockage for all vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic!
The extent of the lockdown is epic! Detours become a real hurdle: traffic from Bad Schussenried to Bad Waldsee has to go through the roundabout at Aldi and then through rural Otterswang! Where is the good old road safety? Where is the common sense? This approximately 1.1 kilometer long detour almost looks like a game of hide-and-seek on the dangerous country road!
SHOCKED by construction site chaos!
But that's not all! The renovation work that has already been carried out by Wochenblatt-News.de reported, not only extend over the L 275, but also affect long sections between Dürmentingen and Kanzach! The road surface will be renewed from July 15, 2024 over a length of approximately 1.1 km until July 30, 2024, depending on the catastrophic weather conditions.
The roads are full of cracks, ruts and dangerous depressions. “But at what cost?” asks the desperate driver. The measure is intended to strengthen road safety and costs around 350,000 euros! Is the money being invested wisely? Citizens thirsty for knowledge can expect a fully closed L 275 in the construction site area!

But that's not all! The people responsible for this massive traffic development are not just local. The federal government has set itself the goal of drastically improving road safety in Germany! Under the Road Safety Program 2021-2030, also known as Vision Zero, the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) is doing everything it can to make the infrastructure safer. How is all this implemented? Through technical regulations that have been developed since the 1970s and are now standard on the European highway network BMV.de.
Citizens are required to understand and participate in these model discussions to improve infrastructure security management. Regular road safety checks are becoming a necessity! It is a real call for the responsibility of everyone who has to ensure safety on the roads.
